OVERVIEW: The clients envisioned an invitation that felt like a mythical story — set in an era where Indian weddings were grand, opulent, and timeless. They wanted every detail to echo the splendour of that imagined past, where craft was devotion and storytelling lived in ornamentation. The invitation became a visual tale woven with history and artistry — a celebration of love told through the lens of India’s rich craft traditions and regal design sensibilities.
Illustration & Invitation Design: The invitation unfolded as a dialogue between two traditions — Mughal miniature paintings in a gentle jugalbandi with Kalamkari motifs. Deer, birds, and forest creatures intertwined with gold-foiled details, creating a landscape alive with quiet splendour. At its centre, a collage of the couple appeared in the Mughal style, brought to life through UV spot print. Printed on velvet, the design carried a tactile richness that evoked Falaknuma’s royal interiors — a seamless blend of art, love, and legacy.
